"BEAUTY IS IN THE EYES OF THE BEHOLDER"
There are about 7 billion people in the world, obviously, not all of these people will have the same opinions. What I consider beautiful may not be seen the same way by someone else. What is appealing to some is not appealing to the rest. For example, Mr. Zack finds math beautiful however, I personally do not think that it is. Because different things resonate with different people, there is no universally accepted definition of beauty.
They will only be drawn to you by people who recognize the inner beauty that is reflected in your eyes. External beauty does not appeal to everyone because true beauty comes from within. If you are kind to others and have good morals, you will appear more attractive.
Don Quixote was speaking to Sancho Panza in the Man of La Mancha novel. "Like beauty, my friend, 'tis in the eye of the beholder," he said while speaking to him. He was referring to a stunning young woman by the name of Aldonza Lorenzo, whom he also refers to as "Dulcinea," when he said this. Sancho thinks he is seeing only an inn, but Don Quixote keeps insisting that he is seeing a castle and that Maria and the innkeeper are the king and queen of the castle, which is a prime example of how people perceive things differently.
I relate to this quote a lot as I usually have different opinions on everything, unlike my friends. This does not lead to an argument, we actually listen to each other's different opinions and appreciate them.
